About Optimal Surroundings
Lauri Arnold has served as a Professional Organizer in the Louisville community for six years. She is committed to helping people tame the chaos in their lives. Her mission has been to give people back the gift of time lost when their lives are disrupted by clutter. She organizes closets, kitchen cabinets, pantries, linen closets, children's rooms and home offices. Her work has taken her to Nashville, Memphis and Cincinnati.
She also maximizes a home's potential by staging them for resale, insuring a quicker sale in a depressed housing market. Over a thirty-year period, she has lived in Illinois, California and Kentucky where she resided in and sold 7 homes, giving her extensive experience in remodeling, building, and home staging.
While in Lake Forest, Lauri completed an apprenticeship with Edana Westrich Designs and extensively remodeled two homes. During her nine years in California, she took design classes and served on the Architectural Review Committee for The Residences at Granite Bay. In both Granite Bay and Louisville, the sale of her homes set a record high price per square foot in their neighborhoods. In Louisville, she has been on staff as an organizer with Rent a Husband and worked at Domain Interiors.
Lauri has also had extensive experience working with children. She began her college career majoring in Child Development at Bennett College with an internship in the nursery school at Memphis University School. She tutored dyslexic children ages 6-12 in a special program geared to children with learning disabilities. She taught English as a second language to children at Camp Timanous in Raymond, Maine. For a year and a half she was a dorm parent and tutored students at Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, Massachusetts. She has worked the past seven years as a substitute teacher at Louisville Collegiate School.
Lauri graduated from Lake Forest College with a B.A. in Art History. She is a freelance writer and has published articles on organization and essays in Underwired Magazine and NFocus Magazine. She is an active member of GLOW (Greater Louisville Outstanding Women) and serves on the Board of Governors at the Speed Art Museum.
What my clients have to say
"Lauri was indispensable when I was relocating. After two days, my entire home was not just presentable, but was stunning and house-warming ready. A year later it still looks clean and organized because of her powerhouse skills."
